Switching to AccessCare
Are you already registered with another home care provider but interested in joining AccessCare? Not a problem, switching is easy! It starts with one simple phone call.
Step 1: Contact the AccessCare team
This first thing you’ll need to do is call our friendly team on 1300 819 200 and have a chat about your personal needs. After speaking with us on the phone, we will organise for an Aged Care Advisor to visit you at your home, at no cost or obligation to you. This will help to reassure you that switching providers is the right choice for you and your situation.
Step 2: Notify My Aged Care
We’ll work with you to notify My Aged Care that you are switching to AccessCare. If you would like to complete this step on your own, remember to write down the referral code they give you, as we will need this to start providing services to you.
Step 3: End services with your current provider
Next, you will need to let your existing provider that you are transferring to AccessCare. We can help you with this call too, just contact our team. You will need to agree on the date when your services will cease with them and when they can begin with AccessCare.
Step 4: Start receiving support from AccessCare
Once services have ceased with your existing provider, we can then begin to deliver services for you.
It’s important to note that your current provider has 70 days after your departure to transfer any unspent funds to AccessCare. Because the balance transfer is not instant, this may have an impact on your services. Our team will work hard during this transition to ensure that any disruptions to your services are minimised.
